In the far west of Uganda lies Bwindi National Park in whose rain forests live half of the world's remaining populations of mountain gorilla, as well as chimpanzee and other forest creatures. Just inside the park and on the edge of the forest, is the Gorilla Forest Camp offering luxury in the heart of the rain forest.
Accommodation is in eight large 'tents', with en-suite facilities and the amazing experience of a bathtub looking out onto the forest. The tents are exceptionally spacious inside and have two queen-sized beds with headboards carved by Ugandan artisans. Each tent has a large wooden deck where guests can relax or enjoy private dining. The main building overlooks the rain forest, and has a raised natural platform for dining under the stars.
The gorilla tracking experience is arguably one of the most exhilarating wildlife experiences. Trek into the forest accompanied by an experienced guide to observe one of the habituated gorilla families. This unique opportunity is afforded only to a select few, as just eight visitors are allowed to view each group every day. The gorillas cover large distances overnight and the time taken to track the gorillas varies enormously - it can take from as little as half an hour to as much as 9 hours before one returns to camp.
Enjoy one of the world's greatest wildlife experiences while staying in luxurious accommodation in such a remote location and leave with a lifetime of memories.
