Rhino Walking Safaris offers a unique combination of Big 5 game drives and multi-day walking safaris inside the Kruger National Park with exclusive use of 12 000 hectares of pristine wilderness. Guests have a choice of staying at the luxurious Rhino Post Safari Lodge and doing game drives; embarking on a true walking safari from the exclusive, tented Plains Camp or over nighting under the stars at the Sleep Out decks. Most guests combine these very individual experiences into an unforgettable safari.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge
Set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed on the Southern end of the concession, the elegant 8 suite Rhino Post Safari Lodge is built using natural materials of stone, wood, thatch & canvas. Stilts raise the spaciously appointed suites from the riverbank allowing guests to view the Mutlumuvi riverbed with ease from the bedroom, bathroom and private wooden deck. Both the swimming pool & lounge overlook an active waterhole in the riverbed. Guests enjoy morning and evening game drives.

Plains Camp
Plains Camp is situated in the heart of the wilderness concession. Built in authentic pioneer tradition, it has the serenity of a 19th century naturalists rest. Overlooking the spectacular Timbitene plain & waterhole, it offers 4 comfortably furnished African explorer style tents en suite, nestled in an Acacia Knobthorn thicket. Guests enjoy a 3-5 hour morning walk and a combination of evening game drive, sundowner and walk.

Sleep Outs
Guests wanting to enjoy an unrivalled wilderness experience will be able walk out to our "Sleep Outs" on elevated wooden platforms. This is the only place in the Kruger National Park offering this unusual accommodation.
