Albert Froneman is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, but travels widely across southern Africa to photograph birds, wildlife and nature. For the past 15 years he has specialised in birds and his work is featured regularly in Africa – Birds and Birding and various other glossy magazines and books. In association with Africa – Birds and Birding he presents courses and leads excursions on bird photography. |

Chris van Rooyen lives in Johannesburg but travels all over southern Africa in his free time to capture images of birds, his favourite photographic subjects. He regularly contributes to Africa Birds and Birding magazine and recently published a calendar of his raptor images in conjunction with Sasol, the South African petroleum giant. He also conducts digital bird photography courses. |

Daryl and his wife Sharna have been photographing Africa’s wildest places professionally since 1986, producing 13 highly successful books in this time. Their work has appeared in most of the world’s leading publications, including National Geographic, Time-Life, GEO, BBC Wildlife, and Outdoor Photographer. Daryl regularly arranges and leads safaris throughout Africa. |

David Rogers is a Cape Town based photographer and writer who specialises in capturing the essense of southern and East African landscapes, wildlife and travel. He is the author of Zambia Landscapes, Safari in Style Southern Africa, Safari in Style Zambia and books on the Drakensberg, Robben Island and Kruger National Park. He is also a regular contributor to Africa Geographic and other magazines. He does commercial photography for lodges and also runs digital photographic workshops. |

Martin Harvey worked for the National Parks in Zimbabwe and Natal Parks Board in South Africa before becoming a professional wildlife photographer in 1993. Based in South Africa, he has photographed in over 40 countries around the world, from the Arctic regions of North America to the deserts of Australia. The past few years have been largely devoted to photographing rare and endangered species throughout Africa and surrounding islands. |

Born and educated in Africa, Peter and Beverly Pickford are inveterate travellers who, in the course of their 25-year career as professional photographers and authors, have come to know contemporary, rural and wild Africa intimately. Their work has received numerous international accolades and awards, including the Agfa Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Kodak Black and White Photographer of the Year. |

Tim Jackson is a research officer at the Conservation Ecology Research
Unit, University of Pretoria. Here he works on CERU's elephant
conservation programme where research takes him to Namibia, Botswana,
Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and South Africa. Tim has written many
illustrated accounts for Africa – Birds and Birding, as well as Africa
Geographic. Not surprisingly, he has an extensive collection of bird
images, as well as small mammals and scenics. |
